Walking Through the Bible in One Year —
Bringing the Story to Life
This weeks reading plan per day:
Monday (Gen. 25-26) Tuesday (Gen. 27-29)
Wednesday (Gen. 30-31) Thursday (Gen. 32-34)
Friday (Gen. 35-37) Saturday (Gen. 38-40)
Sunday (Gen. 41-42)

What a ride this week! Baking, birthdays, baking, eating, and I am even right where I should be with my walking through the Bible in one year!  This week I heard from a friend who has decided to read the Bible this year and is reading along.  She thanked me for the scripture posting, I thank the Lord we live in a country where we can share our religion and faith is such a public way.  Life is good 🙂  Before I roundup the week in pictures from my recipes this week I thought I would share from a couple favorite food blogs.  With Valentine’s Day coming up fast and furious, I shared a recipe for Chocolate Dipped Strawberries.  However, the Brown Eyed Baker cranked it up a notch with Red Velvet Cheesecake, which I absolutely adore!  This picture is beautiful as well!
The Cheesecake Factory makes the best I have ever eaten.  But then again, I haven’t ever made this recipe.  I didn’t have to look to far to find these Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies from Tracey’s Culinary Adventures.
And just in case peanut butter and chocolate are what haunt you in the darkness of night … or Valentine’s Day, I stumbled upon a blog called Parsley, Sage, Desserts, and Line Drives.  My curiosity in the name caught me but this picture has stopped me in my tracks.  Click on the blog name or the picture to take a look at some of this baker bloggers other extreme baking treats!  I am in awe.I hope you have enjoyed these beautiful photos and a little walk through sugar-land just in time for Valentine’s Day in case you are feeling adventurous this weekend!

And if you missed these deliciously easy Crunchy Pecan Coffee Cake Muffins last Monday you can find the recipe when you click on the picture.  These will delight your family and be a great addition to Sunday brunch!
Even though we don’t usually eat white bread, this bread was a winner this week hot out of the oven, as sandwich bread, toasted in the morning, as a gift to a friend and the final pieces were the crowning touch to my culinary assistant’s 81st birthday!  It is back to whole wheat bread for us, but the diversion was lovely!

This week I learned  that when bread reaches 200 degrees F. right smack in the middle — it’s done!  That little nugget of information is worth the white bread calories right there!

I am finishing this week with a how-to in making chocolate dipped strawberries.  This morning I received an email from a friend who said she has tried dipping strawberries before without much success.  This is an easy and delicious way to enjoy Chocolate Dipped Strawberries.  Just remember … don’t over-heat the chocolate in the microwave as it will burn quickly.  Many blessings for a weekend as sweet as this chocolate and as juicy as these berries!  Bon Appetit’
