View from mount roberts
Is this the view from your living room window?  Nah, it isn’t mine either.  But it is the view from atop Mount Roberts, Juneau, Alaska.  Mount Roberts or Roberts Peak is a 3,819 foot mountain just east of downtown Juneau, Alaska.  Mount Roberts is noted for its accessibility from downtown Juneau and for the Mount Roberts Tramway which carries passengers and tourists from sea level to 1,800 feet up the mountain.

For the better part of September views like this one was a daily occurrence for my sous-chef dish-washing mom, the Chief and I!  We were blessed to travel on an Alaskan cruise during a time when the weather was absolutely stellar!

While hiking around the top of Mount Roberts we met a wonderful family taking pictures at the foot of this cross.  They offered to take this picture of Lee and I.  While we were hiking, mom was on an adventure of her own viewing Mendenhall Glacier!

Over the next few months I look forward to sharing more pictures from this trip of a lifetime.  We traveled the Alaskan coast, along the Aleutian Islands, across the Bering Sea to Petropavlovsk, Russia on to Hakodate, Japan ending in Tokyo, Japan!   Beware –  more pictures coming soon!

Hope you are having a blessed week,
Catherine

 Psalm 104:1-35

Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent. He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind; he makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire. He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved. …
