“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. ” John 15:12-15
Is there anything better than hanging out with your peeps? How about a night of laughter, chatter, and shrimp bisque?
Earlier this month I received an email from Angela (red hair, second from the left) telling me that she was planning a night with her musical friends from the Anastasia Baptist Church in St. Augustine, Florida. She wanted to serve a shrimp bisque and wondered about doubling or tripling my Lobster Bisque recipe.
Much to my delight I have received back this lovely picture of the friends getting ready to spend the evening dining on Shrimp Bisque, a tossed green salad and sourdough bread.
Angela says “we are The Choir Girls, “The Peeps” for short. We are all in the choir (one is in the orchestra) at Anastasia Baptist Church in St. Augustine, FL. We try to meet once a month or so to recharge our batteries and share what it going on in our lives. “
Thank you Angela for reminding how much my family adored this bisque recipe. You have inspired me to make it again soon!
Angela reports, “It was absolutely delicious. I tripled the recipe, but double would have been more than enough for the six of us.”
These winter months are the perfect time to combine an evening for friends, bisque, and lots of fun and chatter! Check out the bisque recipe here!
